Another great evening was had by all with SADOS at the South Holland Centre last night. The hard hitting drama produced and presented by the SADOS cast portrayed the nasty, sleazy side of prison life. It deals sympathetically with the unfortunate situation that women find themselves in, and how their lives change in a devastating way. It highlights the choices the women have to make to survive the horrors of prison. It clearly demonstrated how women can still find themselves at the mercy of immoral men. For those who remember the TV series, Bad Girls, this was a brilliant similarity to the main characters. Jim Fenner, Shell Dockley, Sylvia Hollamby, and the two Julies – they will certainly make you smile and laugh as you recall the series. A special mention needs to go to Nicky Wade, played by Anita Heaton, and Crystal Gordon, played by Tilly Hoyles-Simpson, for their singing as well as their acting. Yvonne Atkins, played by Colette Coleman, was larger than life in her role as the prison top dog. A must to see for an evenings thought provoking entertainment.
